ONE MONTH FROM TOMORROW!!! One month from tomorrow we say good-bye to New Hampshire and begin our journey out to Colorado!!! It has been such a busy month since my last blog writing. We have listed our house and have had prospective buyers coming through to look at it. We are praying that someone will buy it quickly because 1) we are tired of keeping it spotless for prospective buyers and 2) we really would like to have it sold by the time we leave. But, no matter what we are leaving on August 27th for Colorado!!!!!!!!
We are busy packing things up, visiting friends and family and having friends and family visit us. We are so very thankful for all of our friends and family who support us and encourage us in so many ways!!!! You are all such a blessing to us!!!!! Just recently I was driving home from visiting my sister and my nieces in New Jersey. On my way home I was flooded with memories of growing up on the east coast and living on the east coast all my life. Driving through Connecticut I remember growing up in West Haven and taking walks to the beach, I remembered meeting Ed in Cromwell, Connecticut and and buying our first house in Cromwell. Driving through Hartford I remembered the day that each one of our children were born in Hartford Hospital. I remembered saying good-bye to Connecticut and moving to New Hampshire. I remembered how hard that move was and yet after a while how much we loved raising our kids here in New Hampshire and what a joy each summer was swimming in Lake Sunapee. I remembered driving home from work on some very snowy days and how thankful I was to arrive home safely. The memories just went on and on and I couldn't quite believe that in just one month we would be saying good-bye to the east coast for forever. I felt sad and it was painful to remember how much I have loved living on the East Coast and I felt sad when I thought about what I was leaving behind. The only way for me to say good-bye to something that I love was by looking forward to the future. When I look forward I am excited!!! I can't wait for the new adventure and I can't wait to see all that God has planned for Soaring Wings Ministries!!! I can't wait to live in a state where they have more sunny days than cloudy days and where the sky is like an every changing painting in motion. Most of all I can't wait to live in a state where God has called us to live and to help the people who will be living at Soaring Wings. To stay in New Hampshire would be huge mistake and I know that I cannot be happy unless I am doing what God wants me to do. So I look forward to living in Colorado and when we drive away on August 27th I won't be looking back. I feel blessed beyond words that I had the opportunity to live on the east coast. I also feel blessed to be called to Soaring Wings Ministries and to begin new memories in Colorado! Someday I will be driving in Colorado and I will be able to look back and remember when we first arrived in Colorado. When I do that, when I begin to "remember when" about things in Colorado then I will know that Colorado will be our home. Please keep us in your prayers during this last month before we leave. We have much so much to do before August 27th. God is our strength and we know that in all things He guides us forward. His servant, Anita Rennells
