GOD GUIDES AND GOD CARES

This morning I was working on developing a brochure for Soaring Wings Ministries.  It is a work in progress and I thoroughly enjoy working on it.  Everyday I get a little bit closer to the finished project.   As I was working on the brochure I was remembering that about six months ago we had the world's worst computer ever! To say that it was slow would be an understatement!  I literally would sit and read chapters in a book waiting for the computer to do what it was suppose to do.  I could barely write a short email, never mind create a brochure!  I finally decided that we either had to get a new computer or else send me to anger management classes.  Ed and I decided to get a new computer over the anger management classes.  I had no idea what kind of computer to get or what kind I wanted.  All I knew is that when I pushed a key on the computer I wanted something to happen!  I remember very vividly that day when we bought our new computer.  We had gone to Best Buy and almost bought a computer there but then decided to go to the Apple Store to look at their computers.  We ended up buying a MacBook Pro at the Apple Store.  This blog posting is not a plug for Apple Computers but I have to say that our new computer does all that I wanted it to do and more.  I actually look forward to working on the computer rather than feeling like I need anger management!  This morning as I was working on the brochure...I remembered our old computer....I remembered how frustrating it was and how I never would have been able to develop a brochure for Soaring Wings on it.  I thought of that day that we bought our new computer and how God guided us to get just the right computer that would be a great tool for Soaring Wings Ministries.  God did not let me buy a lousy computer that would not meet our needs for Soaring Wings, even though I know nothing about computers.  The bottom line is that GOD GUIDES and GOD CARES!!! Yesterday Ed and I were talking and thinking about Soaring Wings Ministries.  As usual, I was frustrated because we don't have all the answers for Soaring Wings Ministries and as usual Ed was not worried about it at all and as usual, we got into "lively discussion" about it. (I know our kids are rolling their eyes as they read this because they know all about Mom and Dad's "lively discussions"!)  Anyways, I was frustrated with Ed for being so lay back about not knowing all the answers for Soaring Wings and Ed was frustrated with me for having to know all the answers before it was time.  After venting my frustrating feelings to Ed and after taking a walk and spending time in prayer about my attitude and Soaring Wings, I remembered that God has all the answers and in His perfect time we will be blessed in seeing how Soaring Wings develops.  We have given ourselves completely over to God's plans for Soaring Wings and want it to be EXACTLY as He wants it.  Just as God led me through a frustrating period with our lousy computer, guided me to purchase the right computer for our needs and has delighted me with such a fantastic tool.....so it will be with Soaring Wings.  GOD GUIDES and GOD CARES!!!!  If God guides and God cares about which computer I have I can only imagine how He will guide and how He cares about Soaring Wings Ministries!!!! I can't wait to actually "see" Soaring Wings out in Colorado!!!! The delight I have in using our new computer will be nothing compared to the delight that I will have in seeing God give soaring wings to homeless young adults!!!!
