What an exciting day to have the movers here!!!! I can honestly say that I did not know how I would feel to have movers take everything away that makes our house our home and now that they are here I am happy to report that WE ARE EXCITED!! This morning Ed and I were having our breakfast on paper towels, with paper cups and plastic silverware as everything was getting packed. We had devotions after our breakfast and we were "checking in" witih each other to see how we were feeling about the movers packing everything up. We both said "WE ARE READY! WE HAVE THINGS TO DO OUT IN COLORADO"!!!!!! It doesn't matter that we really don't know where most of our things are right now and it doesn't matter that most of our things will be in a storage unit for several months out in Colorado. What matters is that we are doing exactly what God wants us to do. I am so thankful that I have a personal relationship with Jesus and that He has guided Ed and I out to Colorado to help homeless young adults and young families. God has given us peace about moving and about heading out to Colorado. We have prayed for this peace and give all the credit to God for helping us feel peaceful. Many of you know that we have 4 dogs and 1 cat that will be making their way to Colorado witih us. I have prayed and prayed about our dogs because I honestly could not imagine making a trip out west with all 4 of them but neither could I imagine getting rid of any of them. This morning in anticipation of the movers coming we had to get 2 of their 4 crates ready to be packed....that meant that they would have to double up....2 dogs in 2 crates instead of each dog having their own crate. As you know dogs, like humans, are creatures of habit. Like me, they don't like change and any change in their routine usually creates chaos. I said a quick prayer this morning as we put the Lab and the Beagle in one crate and the Sheltie and the Great Pyrenese Mix in the other. They were confused and wondered what was going on but they tolerated it. I checked on them after an hour and, PRAISE GOD, the Lab and the Beagle were laying down peacefully side by side. PEACE REIGNS even with our pack of dogs!!!! I was so encouraged!!! God truly cares about EVERY little detail of our lives, even a pack of dogs. When I prayed over many months about our crazy dogs and our peace about moving, God heard and answered my prayer. Our God is a powerful, kind and loving God. He hears our prayers and answers them according to His will. As the movers are packing things up and the dogs are peacefully resting in their crates my heart SINGS with PRAISE TO GOD for all His faithfulness, for all of HIs guidance and for all of His blessings. My heart is at peace and it is because I look to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for peace that only He can give.
