Hi Everyone!
This past month Ed and I have been spending a lot of time planning, praying and working for Soaring Wings Ministries. Things are beginning to fall into place very quickly and it is sooooooo very exciting to see how God guides our thoughts and blesses our efforts. This past week we spoke with a realtor out in Colorado and told him what we were looking for as a building site for Soaring Wings Ministries. We told him to think "out of the box" as we were open to many possibilities. We are still in the process of raising funds to purchase the land and a BIG, HUGE THANK-YOU to all of you who have so generously donated your money and your prayers to this fundraising campaign. We know that God is faithful to meet all of our needs and that he will provide the money that we need to purchase property for Soaring Wings Ministries. The other day I was looking on line at some property for sale out in plains area of Colorado. There was a property east of Fort Collins and there were some pictures posted of the house and out buildings on the property. As I was looking at the pictures I saw what looked to be a roof on ground level with a hatchway opening into the ground just below the roof. I said to myself, "hmmm...I wonder what that could be? I have never seen anything like that before". A few hours later as I was cleaning up the kitchen after dinner....a light bulb came on!!!! That ground level roof that I saw with the hatchway opening was an underground tornado shelter!!!!! No wonder I had never seen anything like that before! We don't have underground tornado shelters here in New Hampshire or for that matter any on the east coast that I am aware of because we don't have tornadoes here! Aaaah...the many adventures that await us out in Colorado!!! I can just picture Ed and I and all the people living at Soaring Wings hunkered down in a tornado shelter as a tornado roars by overhead. So are we afraid to move to Colorado? Are we afraid to face the so many things that will be so new and unknown to us? Absolutely not!!!! We know that there will be many unknowns as we move out to ColoradWe are not afraid because we know without a doubt that God is faithful and that God cares, God guides and God listens to our prayers. I have been reading in my Bible in the first chapter of Joshua. Four times in that first chapter God tells Joshua to "Be strong and courageous". In verse 9 it says, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go". That verse is not only meant for Joshua, it is meant for Ed and I as well because the Lord is our God. God promises to never leave us or forsake us (Joshua 1:5). I hope that if Soaring Wings Ministries has a home on the plains of Colorado that we will have an underground storm shelter to protects us from tornadoes and I have no doubt whatsoever that our God will be right there in the shelter with us if a tornado is roaring overhead. As Ed and I make plans to develop Soaring Wings Ministries and as we make plans to move out there next year we do so with boldness and confidence. Our God is a mighty and powerful God and so we will be strong and courageous as we move forward with our plans for Soaring Wings Ministries. Thank-you for keeping us in your prayers!!!!! It means the world to us!!!!! I am signing off for now....Ed wants to use the computer so that he can look up "rattlesnakes on the plains of Colorado"!!!! BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS!!!!!! His joyful servant, Anita
